Magnificent Men United with added Spookyness

He is calling you to be at the Magnificent MASSIVE Man-sing... he is the prophet who sings with lower registers, he is Bah'ri Ghibb??

Not quite...  For anyone who has been interested in Georgian-inspired polyphonic male harmony singing these past 10 or more years or festival goers around the country will instantly recognise this fellow - he is the SpookMeister himself, leader of The Spooky Men's Chorale, the granddaddy of BlokeSong, Mr Stephen Taberner - and he is rumoured to be appearing at our event this Saturday.

Tickets are still available from https://www.stgeorgesbristol.co.uk/event/men-united/ - but hurry, not long left now!

Hear more about what is shaping up to be an utterly awesome event of singing in lower registers in this helpful video.

WARNING!: These men are Live and dangerously entertaining

Last seen around these parts with the full compliment of Spooky Men on their night off in the The White Hart, Stephen Taberner, better known as the whimsical mastermind behind the Spooky Men's Chorale,  offers for public amusement a musical wrestle to the death with his beloved double bass B, which typically involves a highly charming collection of songs, some moody, some funky, and some downright ridiculous.

For this pointless spectacle he will be joined by fellow spooky man Jack Fitzgrerald Sice (Ukelele/Guitar/Vocals), who has seemingly mastered the difficult art of not only sounding beautiful in his own right, but subtly enhancing whatever else is happening at the time, and has a fantastic beard....which may ultimately involve the recruitment of the glorious and/or unformed musical talents of the audience.

The pair are due to be appearing in The White Hart on Tuesday 23rd January with the fun start some time after 19:30 (your timings & mileage may vary, profits can go up and down, etc etc) so toddle along for some seriously good entertainment for so early in the week!

Throwing shapes with the SpookMeister in a tipi

It is not every day that you get do a workshop with a leading light in your genre of music and the inspirer of the inspiration that got so many of us singing later in life.

It is not every day that you get to do a workshop where you get to throw crazy shapes as if no one else is watching and are told to consider your sound as a row of mangoes (we can explain... we think).

It is not every day that you get to do a workshop in a twin peak tipi in someone's back garden.

But then again, The Magnificent AK47 are not an ordinary, "every day" kind of group.

We are here for the extra-ordinary, the special days you remember for, er, as long as you can remember.

We are MAGNIFICENT, learning amazing arrangements to well known children's songs in our dotage that will emerge from a stage near you in the not too distant future - but more about that soon.

Stand by and brace!
