Home town blokes

"The blokes are back in town" as Thin Lizzy once famously sang.  And they are.

For one night only The Magnificent AK47 will be behind the bar at The White Hart Inn...

Sounds like an ill-advised idea but it was thought to be a very novel way of singing to as many people as possible so they could hear the blokes.  We'll see how it goes and the landlady will be in the front watching that no one nicks a sneaky free top up!

The blokes will be performing short sets at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm to allow for other punters to enjoy the convivial atmosphere and entry is Free of Charge although there may be some burly blokes on the door waving donation buckets if you want to get out...

So, come along for a drink and a sing this coming Saturday.

Bradford Roots belter under the belt

Bradford Roots has been a great way to get the local festival season kick started for FIVE years now and this year's was another belter.

The blokes were very pleased to be invited back and put on a strong show on the main stage to a pretty much full auditorium and a very appreciative crowd to boot.

And, ne'er a "prop" in sight as we performed entirely gimmick-less, no hats, no beards, no nufin' but our naked voices, for the first time since the last time (which was probably by accident...!).

It felt a bit odd, but maybe next time we can use the full kit list as we sing in The White Hart in Ashton Keynes on Saturday 4th February, more of which soon, but in the next post we need to celebrate a significant landmark for this august channel - can you guess what it might be??

P.S. And thanks to Valerie Moss for allowing us to use this picture she took of us in action.

BoA Roots belter!

Not long now till our very first gig of the year already!  And what a belter it should be, too!

For an amazing fifth year running Lisa and Chris Samuel and their many helpers are putting on another massive display of local talent from the citadel that is Bradford on Avon and surrounding area, which luckily extends to North North Wiltshire and little old us.

There are some cracking performers and so much to see including The Magnificent AK47 on Saturday night and Ashton Keynes' very own Big Brunch Band in action at the festival for the first time.

It's sure to be a great weekend of entertainment so if you haven't already, find out more and get your tickets from

Welcome to 2017

Welcome back to another Magnificent looking year full of blokey singing treats ahead and much unleashing of the inner minstrel.

And what better way to record all your plans and activities than noting them down on our very own 2017 Magnificent Calendar?

We have sold a good number of these already but if you have yet to secure your own copy, loving produced in full colour and stunning black and white, featuring the artistic talents of members of the group capturing the blokes in all their photogenic glory then email and we will see what we can do...

And if you want to see us in action, check out dates in our electronic Google calendar, transfer them to your own calendar and we look forward to seeing you on our adventures in the next year.
