Front page news!

It's not every day we have a "first time ever" moment, but to have two in one go is a little special, even for us...

Whilst it might not exactly be a top story outside of our spiritual home of Ashton Keynes, we are still none the less very chuffed to be one of the big stories on the front of this month's newly revamped, and highly revered Village Magazine, AND our flyer is also the very first insert they have ever done... just like being in the Sunday papers!

Thank you to all in the Editorial Team who indulged us with a two page spread and to everyone in the Distribution Team who kindly inserted the flyers to drop out into around 500 households in the area.

Still time to hear more about our big event for singing in lower registers via this helpful video.

TMAK47 at AKMAF

A slightly belated THANK YOU and VERY WELL DONE to all involved with the inaugural Ashton Keynes Music and Arts Festival that took place at the end of June & first weekend of July this year.

The Magnificent AK47 played a small but not insignificant part running the bar at the Village Voices event that combined choral groups from across the village.

Performing were the cute beyond belief School Choir, the rather wonderful Siren Sisters, the re-invigorated Village Choir and little old us finishing things of with a killer set that we would like to think was rather well received... that is until the final number which combined all the choirs and quite literally there wasn't a dry eye in the place by the end.

A great way to celebrate all the fabulous singing that goes on around these parts.

Next is AK Fest

This village...  SO much to do, so little time...

We are less than one month away from the biggest thing to happen round these parts since the last time the Ashton Keynes Music Festival rolled into the village, except this time it is not just a music festival, there's arts as well and loads more.

We are on the Wednesday 28th taking part in the Village Voices a celebration of singing in the village.

Read about so much more and get tickets before they disappear at https://www.ashtonkeynesfestival.net/whats-on

Beer & Carols 2015 great success

A very BIG THANKS to all who came and sang their little Santa Hats off on Thursday.

The pub was well and truly throng with carolers and a merry time was had by all.  More evidence can be found on our facebook page if you do that sort of thing.

Special thanks to Shirley Danby for being persuaded to do it again and for Neil B for much of the nudging in the background, to Chris Samuel our belovéd ChoirMeister and to Ashton Keynes Village Choir and their leaders on the night for adding so much musicality to the event, and everyone who came and made it such a great community event.

Roll on next year!  But in the meantime enjoy the Yuletide and we look forward to activities in 2016!

Turnip Soup Gig publicity in Village Shop

Thanks to Big Mike and Andy E for unleashing their inner window dressing skills with a quite magnificent display in the Ashton Keynes Village Shop window.   Thanks also to the Shop Team for letting us do it.

This is all part of a reasonably intensive publicity campaign to encourage the final few punters along to our next gig.  Coming in less than two week is our big Autumn gig at the Sundial Theatre with The Croutons.

More info can be found on the full site that can be found here, with us nestled in amongst many other celebrities and class acts!

And once again, let us take the opportunity to make it known that tickets are selling very well with nearly 3/4 already sold, so don't dally, click here to book now to avoid disappointment.
