STEAM - top night

A (marginally) belated thank you to everyone who came along to see us in collaboration with the wonderful Wessex Male Voice at our recent joint show at STEAM in the heart of Swindon's Heritage Quarter.

Some great moments, from Wessex's spine tingling 'Io resto qui: Addio!' to us getting our usual reaction when people "get the gag" and in particular the singing along to Delilah, and the two joint numbers that went so very well considering they were barely run through at the soundcheck.

The Men of Wessex were a delight to perform with and very appreciative collaborators - an excellent union of the powerhouses of male voiced choral singing in this part of the world.

Thanks to all who worked so hard over so many months to make it all come together, in particular Stuart Allinson of Wessex Male Voice, ably supported by his organising team.

It's coming home, it's coming home, Singing's coming home

So, the dream of the Association Football team of England triumphing at a World Cup has come to an end for another generation, but don't be sad it's all over, be glad it happened.  

And if that does not quite console you enough then come and join our winning team as The Magnificent AK47 go head to head, song for song, with the rather splendid Wessex Male Choir at STEAM, in the heart of Swindon's heritage quarter this coming Saturday (yes, right after the 3rd Place Play-off match in case you need further consoling or are celebrating!).

"A once in a generation moment"?

There is a lot of talk about "once in a generation moment", er, at the moment... something to do with an Association Football match of national importance??

Well, surely that pales into insignificance compared with the "once in a generation moment" of two of the top male voiced choirs in the county, nay, country coming to sing together this Saturday?!
