Double header with the Bellefleurs

Our venerable ArtMeister, one Bill H of Stroudways (he ticked the box for less publicity but deserve the fullest credit for his deeds) was so inspired by the thought of a "Double header" with the infamous BelleFleurs that he has produced not just one poster for the event, but at least two masterpieces that we can show.

Well, it's not every day we get to do a Double Headliner with a set of very dynamic ladies, so we thought we would celebrate the fact further by posting both, er, posters.

It should be a considerably good show and details can be found on the pictures attached.

We very much hope to see you there and also at the much requested "Afters" in a secret location that will be announced at the show.

Home town gig for our ChoirMeister

And in other news closer to home, our belovéd ChoirMeister, Mr Chris Samuel, will be re-visiting old haunts with his superb vocal harmony trio The Croutons, this very Friday night in Mintey Village Hall.

Chris used to be from around these parts and even played Rugby for Minety, so when certain a certain founding father of the then unfounded The Magnificent AK4 and his wife met Chris at Sidmouth Folk Festival back in the midst of time and he asked where are you from, they said "oh you won't know it, it's a very small village in North, North Wiltshire called Ashton Keyne", he did!  And the rest is Magnificent history.

So, go along and support our local lad and you will be right royally entertained.

BlokeFest 2015 is over but lives on

Thanks to all those from The Magnificent AK47 crew who attended BlokeFest 2015 - a truly MAGNIFICENT event and a triumph of the ethos that we embody, unleashing ourselves from our humdrum lives through the medium of song, good company and other blokey activities like walking as you can see in this photo.

The shot captures the blokes who went on the walk and contains a good number of our current members - can you spot them?

Some GREAT moments and many escaping via https://www.facebook.com/BlokeFest and other media - more soon.

But our blokes don't have long to recover, we are back in the harness this coming Sunday with our next rehearsal in preparation for the next gig with spectacular BelleFleurs - see http://themagnificentak47.com/gigs.html or our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/themagnificentak47 for more info.

The Roaring Trowmen roar into Stroud

Just time to tell you that the very excellent and BlokeFest Workshop Leaders The Roaring Trowmen are hoving into Stroud this very evening.

Do not be misled by the shyfulness of their stealth marketing tactics (like not letting us know...) they are a top act, very funny and entertaining and sure to put on a good show so nip along to the Prince Albert in Rodborough in the People's Republic of Stroud, as if you need a half decent reason to ever pop into that amazing pub...!

Another Women & Men Double Header

We've been a little quieter than usual recently, because it has been, er, a little quieter than usual round Magnificentland as we recover from "May-hem" and brace ourselves for BlokeFest.  But in passing, in case you didn't know, word is seeping out about another fantastic double header with singing chanteuses the BelleFleurs.

See poster for more details
